It's been awhile since I've written one of these, so here is the last one for this year.  I know you are really interested in my opinions about various strange topics I can talk about the BSSM world.  I going to discuss my favorite couple or potential couple pairings in the Live Action version of Sailor Moon.

Usagi and Mamoru-You know I never really liked how the anime made them, especially when you read the beatufiul love story between them in the manga.  So after watching the Live Action version I was pleasantly surprised.  I really like how they sticked more closely with the manga and made it into their own.  I really how they made Mamoru take more iniative than anything else.  The sad love conflicts Usagi had to deal with when she found out he had a finacess and never knowing he was Tuxedo Mask was just classic soap opera, but it was done so well.  I felt bad for both of them.  Mamoru torn and conflicted between his promise to protect his finacee and duty to her father, and trying to suppress his feelings for Usagi, even though it was extremely hard when she had shown him affection as Tuxedo Mask, he knew she was Sailor Moon.  The part when Sailor Moon told Tuxedo Mask she liked someone else was so touching, especially when Mamoru was a tad pouting not thinking it was him.  DORK!  Ok, that's out of my system.  I also liked it later in the season, when he returns back from England, and back to Usagi, deciding he would protect her and the Earth, not matter what was going to happen.  He wasn't going to let the Earth die, and he wasn't going to stay away from her, just because everyone thought if they were together everything was doomed.  He was just cool, and I really loved how they portrayed their love.

Ami and Nephrite-First this was a strange twist for me.  I've always liked Nephrite and Ami as separate characters, but never thought about them being a couple.  So when they started to hint at this, I thought how interesting.  Complete opposites, well they saw opposites attract.  They really didn't go into their relationships or anything, but I really loved the interaction at the Game Crown.  She gave him burnt cookies and he said they were terrible with such enthusiasm.  It was just funny.I loved how Motoki was trying to help him buy a thank you gift for her.  It was so cute.  I wish they had more time to develop these two.  I love the whole good girl, bad boy relationships.  ;p

Makoto and Motoki-I love, love, love this couple.  They are my favorite, even a little bit more than Usagi and Mamoru.  They made Motoki from a one dimensional big brother type, as he was in the anime, to a strange loveable meek yet courageous individual. He loves turtles, and I assume because of his strange obsession with them he is socially awkward.  He has some good friends, like Mamoru and another kid that likes turtles, but that's really about it.  When he first meets Makoto, he liked her from the start, though at the time, Mamoru thought he liked Usagi.  Nope.  Of course he would like the strong tomboyish, and aloof Makoto.  When she gave him a scarf for Valentines day, because she had no one else to give it to, he was elated.  He wore it for months!  Finally he got her to go on a date with him, and learned that she wasn't interested in a relationship, but preferred to be alone.  She felt that was her life's purpose.  Motoki respected that and afterwards was very nice to her.  During one episode, when Usagi was trying to pair them up again, he ended up helping her find a lost child from the daycare.  Makoto saw how kind he really was and warmed up to him.  Eventually the two do become an item.  I just think they are perfect together!

Rei and Minako-It seems like a lot of people view these two as a couple, but I really don't.  I seem them as rivals and then really good friends.  I really like how the Live Action develops these two, Rei being from a sad situation at home with her father never really want to see her, and Rei blames him for never being there when her mother died.  She has alot of emotional conflicts, but eventually resolves them with her father.  Minako, they really changed her character, which at first I didn't like, but I ended up loving the new tragic, martyr type of Minako.  She is still friendly and an idol, but she believes more about her past life and her current mission more than anything else.  When Rei finds this out, she does her best to convince Minako, that living a normal life and just wanting to live is more important than fighting all the time.  The two both have strong personalities and often conflict on real life and the past life.  Ultimately Rei finally convinces her there is so much more to live for, and shows her that she really does appreciate her life.  I think from this, people view them as a couple, but I just see it as one friend trying her best to encourage and tell the other that life is precious, and shouldn't be thrown away so easily.  It's soap operaish, but very, very good.

Anyways those are my views on the couples, and I highly recommend watching it.  It's just another version of telling the BSSM story and just as captivating and fun as the manga and anime versions!
