Usagi
Tsukino, the cheerful yet klutzy blonde that became Ami's first friend.
Usagi first heard about Ami from her friends, commenting that she came
from a very elite school and she seems to be snobbish. Usagi
didn't think much into their rumors though, and when she ran into Ami
after school, she thought of Ami as a really nice and kind person.
Usagi, I believe, is the closest to Ami. She always knows when Ami is feeling down and tries her best to cheer her up. And of course Ami sticks up for Usagi! No matter how much others talk about how bad a leader she is, Ami will always point out Usagi's good points. They are really great friends!
Rei
Hino, the fiery priestess. Rei and Ami have nice friendship.
Rei always values Ami's opinions and usually listens to her. As
senshi, they are usually paired up together. With Mercury's cool
head and Mars quick attacks, they are an unstoppable team.
Makoto
Kino, the happy garden loving chef! Mako seems to be Ami's love
guide, in helping her go after Ryo-kun. Mako always gives
Ami confidence and tries to tell her that she should believe in herself.
Ami also tries her best to help Mako in her problems whether in school
or just in normal life.
Ah,
the sporty and bubbly Minako Aino. Ami and Minako seem to have a
strange relationship. Minako loves to tease Ami about love issues
and Ami tries her hardest to get Minako to study. So hard that she
often scares Minako and the other senshi. But when it comes down
to it, they are funny together and good friends.
The
bunny, aka, Chibiusa Tsukino. I feel that Chibiusa looks up to
Ami, and tries her best to be like her as well as the others. I
think Chibiusa admires the way Ami studies so hard.
Ami, like the rest of the senshi, treats Chibiusa like their own little sister. Ami always gives Chibiusa good advice on how to give her friends presents, and such.
The
shy and kind Hotaru Tomoe. Hotaru and Ami haven't really developed
a friendship, but I'm sure they would be great friends. When Ami,
Usagi, and Chibiusa took Hotaru to the hospital, Hotaru woke up and
found her friends by her.
Hotaru said that she was sorry that she was being such a burden and Ami interrupted her telling her that she wasn't. Ami told Hotaru that she had great friends who cared about her, and it would hurt Chibiusa's feelings to hear Hotaru talk like that. Ami gave Hotaru confidence and help her realize the meaning of friendship!
Talented,
lovely, artistic, Michiru Kaio. Again their friendship hasn't
really developed. Even so, I think that both Ami and Michiru
respect each other. In one episode Michiru challenged Ami to a
swimming contest. Ami, being her low self esteem and kind self,
let Michiru win.
Of course Michiru was upset and told Ami, that she could do better than that. She said that Ami needed to give it her all. Ami quietly agreed and Michiru challenged her again. This time, Ami gave it her all and tied Michiru! Ami gain self confidence and started to admire Michiru, wanting to be like her. Michiru also respected Ami and admired her kindness and her intelligence.
Wind
racer, Haruka Tenno. Haruka didn't really think much of Ami at
first. She knew Ami was very smart, but also a weak senshi and
didn't give her much credit beyond that. But in one episode,
Mercury and Uranus were separated from the others and had to work
together to escape and reach them. Uranus told Mercury that she
would handle everything, and told her to stay out of the way, unless she
wanted to get hurt. Mercury did for awhile, but noticed that
Uranus's attacks weren't having much affect on the enemy.
She told Uranus that she would find the enemies weak point. Using her scan and computer, Mercury saw it and told Uranus. Uranus attacked and they escaped. Uranus complimented Mercury and apologized, saying that she always took her for granted. Mercury just smiled and mentioned that they should always work together. Thus, I think after that Haruka values Ami's input into situations.
Setsuna
Meioh, very mysterious and rarely seen. I know if Setsuna was in
the series more, her and Ami would definitely be great friends!
They are both very smart, shy and stick to their mission.
Unfortunately, poor Setsuna never really had any interaction with the
inner senshi.
Luna,
Usagi's guardian. Luna and Ami have a wonderful friendship!
Luna will always listen to Ami and ask her to give her input to the
other girls. And Luna loves hang out with Ami. I'm not
sure why, but I think it's because Ami is just a type of person that
cats would like to hang out with.
Artemis,
the cool guardian of Minako. Now Artemis and Ami never really get
paired off, so I can't really say much about their friendship, except
that he likes Ami and respects her. Artemis generally hangs out
with Minako most of the time.
Mamoru
Chiba, the handsome Tuxedo Mask. Out of the all the senshi, minus
Usagi and Chibiusa, Mamoru is closest to Ami. He can confide in
her and talk to her on an intelligent level. In one episode, he
notice Ami was depressed and decided to give her great advice.
She took it of course! As for Ami, even though she jokes with Usagi, about taking her "Mamo-chan" away, she really sticks up for the couple. Ami got upset in one episode when she thought Mamoru was cheating on Usagi and really told him off. Of course it was just a huge misunderstanding!
Later when Usagi hangs around Seiya in the Stars series, Ami gets really upset with Usagi and always tries to bring Mamoru up. Cute huh? If Usagi or Chibiusa weren't in the picture, I would think these two would make a great couple! But that will never happen.
