Enemies
There's a saying, keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. I sure if Ami knew who her enemies were at the time, that she might have paid attention to that saying. But she didn't.
Anyway, all throughout the Sailor Moon series, every senshi seemed to have a particular enemy suited for them. Here, I'll talk about the ones that were Sailor Mercury's equal.
Zoisite.
He was the third Shitennou that was introduced in BSSM. Being very
vain and cocky, he would taunt Nephrite and ultimately killing him.
After that he went after the crystal carriers, and created monsters for
the senshi to fight.
His main attacks included flowers and some sort of watery flower spell. (not sure what to call it) Anyway he seem quite the opposite of Sailor Mercury, being quite into himself. But I feel they were equals, because they seem to both be very clever but weak, and well, Naoko-sensei pair Mercury off with him!
Beurche,
the second youngest of the Black Moon Sisters. She was very flashy
and acted like the 'cute' one out of her sisters. She loved
shopping and wearing odd outfits. Beurche, was very smart though.
She could play a killer game of chess, and challenged Mercury to a
match. Of course she wasn't that good at it, since she cheated.
But that's besides the point.
Beurche had water/ice base attacks and most of the time they would equal Sailor Mercury's. That's the main reason I feel she was Sailor Mercury's equivalent is because they are both very smart and use the same water base attacks. Again, I feel Beurche was the weakest one out of her sisters, but still a mean force to reckon with!
Viluy.
She was the fourth one out of the witches 5. Using her nano's,
Viluy thought she had found a quick and easy way to extract pure hearts.
Viluy was extraordinarily smart. She
even talked to Ami, and found out that she was a Sailor Senshi.
Being cold hearted, Viluy could never understand why science could be used for good, even though Ami tried her best to explain it to her. Since Viluy was only in one episode, it's really hard to get more on her personality. But I feel she and Ami could have been friends, if it wasn't for that evil thing going on.
Fisheye,
was quite a character. Part of the Amazon trio, he tried find
Pegasus. He didn't care for his brothers methods, though. In
fact he just kinda went off and did his own thing. Fisheye
really liked dressing up and pretending he was a girl.
He hated cats! Why? Cause he was a fish, and being a fish he likes water and well loathes cats. Fisheye was a kind guy though. Just took us a while to see that, and he even gave up his life for Sailor Moon. Sounds like something Mercury would do, right? Even though Mercury isn't flashy and into fashion, she is very kind. So I guess her and Fisheye were very similar in those ways.
Palla
Palla, the cute sister out of the Amazoness Quartet. Out all the
enemies that are Sailor Mercury's equivalent, I think Palla Palla is
least like her. She very outgoing, into toys and is quite vicious,
when she wanted to be. I guess the only similarity is their
smarts. Palla Palla got large amounts of dream mirrors, when she
searched for Pegasus. Much
quicker than looking for one at a time, don't you think? She also
tricked Queen Nephrenia, by switching the golden crystal with a
pineapple. So I will say they are both very, very smart. But
that's about it. I like Palla Palla a lot though, so don't think
I'm putting her down!
Ah
yes, Aluminum Siren the airhead of the Sailor Animates! She is
very ditzy and really, into food. If it wasn't for Lead Crow, I'm
sure she would have been killed earlier. Anyway,
Siren is the last enemy that I think is Mercury's equal. Why?
Well they both are very nice. And smart. Just because Siren
is an airhead, doesn't mean she is stupid.
After all she did find out who had the star seed Galaxia was looking for. And she never got a chance to tell her. Oh well. Stuff happens. Both Siren and Mercury are very good at figuring things out and have good friends to rely on.
On and on a little side note, have you noticed all these enemies, minus Zoicite are blue? Kinda a blue theme going on huh?
