{TUTORIALS}
Now, I assume since you came here you have Paint Shop Pro 7, right? If not just type it in on your favorite search engine and download a 30 day trial version, if you are interested in using it.

Ok, now I have PSP 7 and I make my layouts using it all the time! I love it to death! So how do I make these layouts? Here's a simple guide, with images! Just click on the screencaps to view it. It will open up in a new window. On to the tutorial, ne?

Ok, first you open up the image you want to use!

You notice the image is a little big, so let's resize it to the size you want. Just go under image in the toolbar and click on resize. Once you click on it you will find a box that asks you what size you want the image to be. Just type in the numbers. If you mess up, just go under Edit and click undo. You can do edit undo as many times as you want.

Now you got it resized the way you want it. Next thing you need to do is go under File, New image. There you will find a window asking you what width and height you want. I'm going to use 800x600 here. Also you can determine what background color you want.

Poof you got two images. Inuyasha and the new one you just made. What you want to do next is go to Edit, Paste as a new layer on your 800x600 image.

This is what it should look like when you paste it onto your new page. Remember it's just a layer and later on we will have to merge them.

Ok, now I'm going to draw the layout. You can do this anyway you want. I'm going to make a simple rectanglar border around Inuyasha. The way I did this, is that I went the preset shapes icon, chose rectangle and drew one on. You can change colors and things like that in this screen.

After the border, I'm going to add text. I go to the A icon and this Text entry window appears. Here you can choose what size, font and color you want. The Fill color I have here is red. And the Stroke is white. The stroke will add a nifty little white border around the words.

And after you get that done, all you have to do is move your text to where you want it!

Now's a good time to merge layers. To do that just go under layers, go to merge, and then merge all.

Ok, now is my favorite part! Adding neat little designs! I'm going to use some of my custom brushes. I think psp has some already install for you. Just click on paint brush, and then to custom brushes.

I choose stars. You can make them faded, by making the opacity less. You can also make the size bigger or smaller.

I got all my stars done! Now, I just wanna select the image and copy it. I don't want all that extra white space.

Now I've pasted it as a new image and saved it. Now I want to cut it up, and code it. Now you go to file, export and go to image slicer.

Here you get a another window. Now you get to slice it up. Just think where you want your text to go. I'm planning mine to go into the white space, so I used the cross hatch to make a column there. And I used the little knife thing to make the horizontal lines. This area can be tricky, so if you goof up, just try again!

After I cut it up I click on the optimizer button. Here you can try to make your layout load quiker. Since this layout takes 12 seconds on a 56K modem, I didn't do anything with it. And after that you hit ok and save it! PSP will prompt you to save it as a webpage.

And your done! Once you save it, you can open it and play with tables! Hurray! If you want to see the final product, just click here. Spiffy looking ne?
