Well today I feel like rambling about Usagi aka Sailor Moon.  She's the main character, a clutz, whiny and a crybaby, yet she somehow muddles through and grows into a spirited talented fighter.  Why in the world are there so many people that don't like her?  I find that bizarre, a show who the main character isn't liked, and most of the time isn't the fan's favorite.  If I had to guess, I would say the fan favorites are the outers, most likely Saturn and Uranus on top.  For the inners, most people like either Venus or Jupiter..well though I can't judge this easily, but I could add in Mercury in there as well. 

Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon are usually on the bottom of this totem pole.  Why?  I find her the most human out of all the other senshi.  Sure she whines, obsesses about food and sleeping, rather than finding the enemy, but isn't that typically of a teenager?  She's more into boys than saving the world.  If Sailor Moon was real, I can imagine a teenager not to interested in having the ability to save the world on their shoulders.  Well some teenagers anyway..ahem.  

Sailor Moon is my favorite senshi, mainly because she is so easily to relate to.  Heck I would rather hang out with my friends, then have my cat nag me about killing some guy.  Sure kitty, whatever you say, I'll put down my manga and get right on it! Heh, right...  Usagi does grow up though and matures quite nicely.  The rest of the senshi don't really.  Just a tiny bit, except Minako.  For some strange reason she kinda reverts into Usagi in a way.  ^^;

I think Usagi represents every girl, trying to cope with responsibility of protecting those she loves.  The other senshi represents our friends and people we wish we could be.  Heck I wish I was smart as Ami, a talent chef like Mako and talented as Michiru.  They have such wonderful traits, but what is really special about Usagi that stands out?  Nothing as superficiall as being a great racer or having the ability to be a loved teen idol.  Instead her biggest strength is deeper, she is extremely loyal, and a peacemaker.  

This is trying on her when her friends have different opinions on a subject, you really see this in Sailor Stars with her getting mad at the Outers.  She is human, the others have traits and strengths we all have, but really they are just backup support for Usagi.  I really wonder if this is the reason why more people don't like her.  She reminds me of myself, and alot of bad traits I don't like.  I wonder if more people find this to be true and tend not to like her because of this.  Whatever the reason, this is very baffling to me.  I will always think of Usagi as a classic character who isn't 2-D, but more human than most characters.  Plus she has spiffy crazy hair!  Enough reasons for her to be one of my favorite characters of all times!
